Ashley K. Burton, Esq. is passionate about healthy, well-run organizations.

After spending almost a decade leading employment law practices at large firms, she brought her legal expertise to the insurance industry to add value to clients. As In-House Counsel, HR Services, and then Vice President of HR at Assured Partners of WV, Ashley was able to serve clients spanning all industries and geographies in all areas of human resources—from ensuring compliance with employment laws and handbook rewrites and revisions to conflict mediations and HR trainings.

Ashley founded AKBridge the Gap in 2024 as a way to help even more clients lead healthier organizations.

The company acts as clients’ competitive advantage by adding a senior HR strategist with employment law expertise to their team.

Ashley received her BS in Business Administration from West Virginia University and her Juris Doctorate degree from Washington and Lee College of Law. She has extensive legal experience dealing with all employment matters and regularly provides training and seminars on HR matters for a variety of organizations. She is an active member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and the WV Chamber of Commerce.
